SEO Tools

Let me take you on a magical stroll down memory lane to kinder, simpler SEO times….

About 10 years ago I used a piece of software called the Submission-Spider Search Engine Submission Tool to submit my (and my clients) web sites to the search engines.

Back then, there were about 20-40 major search engines jockeying for dominance and you had to submit your site to all of them. It was a real pain, but this software made it quick and easy. It worked like a charm for years and years.

Of course, as the years went by – first Yahoo, and finally Google knocked out all those other competing search engines and now the only search engines you need to worry about are Yahoo/Bing and Google (but mostly just Google) so you don’t need software to submit your sites to any others. The company scrapped their submission software.

Fast forward to today. Many of you know that I make some pretty decent money with adsense websites…

The process is pretty straight forward; you do a little keyword research, find a potentially profitable niche, write a handful of related articles, throw them up on a new web site with adsense ads sprinkled throughout, do a little SEO work and pretty soon you’ve got a nice little cash machine churning out ad revenue virtually on auto pilot.

The problem is, sometimes it takes Google a long time to get around to indexing the sites… and I hate waiting. It’s not just adsense-type sites. If you’ve ever built *any* type of website then you know how frustrating it can be to wait around for Google to index your site.

Since I no longer have my handy copy of the Submission-Spider, I decided to do something about this problem. Thus was born the seoFool Quick Index software…

How Does It Work?

It’s really very simple. If you submit your website to Google, they’ll take their own sweet time indexing it. Why? I have no idea. On the other hand, if a whole bunch of other websites suddenly start linking to YOUR web site, and Google see’s those sites doing it, a strange thing happens…

Google says to itself….”Hey, look at that! All those websites are linking to this new website, and I don’t know anything about this new website! It’s not even in our index! I better get off my shiny metal backside and add that site to our index!”

Why does Google act that way? I’m not entirely sure! I think it has something to do with the fact that Google strives to be the most up to date repository in the world.

It doesn’t look good if a bunch of other sites know more about your site than Google does. They don’t want to get left behind, so they’ll quickly index your site. Whereas if your site is new and no one else is talking about it, Google can take it’s time and devote processor power to other more important things than indexing your boring site.

And that’s all there is to it!

What Sites Does The Software Submit To?

The seoFool Quick Index tool will submit your site to between 30-100 sites that Google crawls constantly. Sites like whois information pages, webmaster tool pages, and even some of those “How much is my website worth” sites. These are not high quality PR sites, but they *are* sites that Google crawls a lot. Often Google will find your site within a few minutes of using the software.

Some Things To Keep In Mind:

  • This tool won’t help you with seo link building. It doesn’t allow you to submit links with anchor text, so you can’t use it to spam your links all over the place. It will only submit your website URL…(ie http://www.yoursite.com). Why? Because your URL is just enough for Google to see that your site exists, and be able to find your site to quickly index it.
  • This tool will only submit your URL ONE TIME. You can submit it over and over, but it won’t speed up the process or do any good whatsoever because your link will only be added once to each site. So you can’t use this tool to spam.
  • You can submit as many URL’s as you want. Have 50 web sites? You can submit them all (though only once for each site).
  • This is windows software and you need the latest version of the Microsoft .net framework to run it. Your computer probably already has .net (it’s standard these days), but if not then you can download the .net framework from Microsoft for free.
  • And that’s really all there is to it!

I’ve sold this software in the past for $99, but today I’m giving it away FOR FREE, all you have to do is subscribe to my seoFool email newsletter (also for free).
